Yury Voicehovsky, the CEO of the Russian Investment Agency participated in the first Plenary of the 2nd National Oil and Gas Forum, which was opened on October 22, 2014 in the World Trade Center in Moscow.
The event was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
The first plenary session of the forum was dedicated to the discussion of resource and innovation vector of energy development in Russia. The speakers made the main emphasis on the discussion of a new global challenges and global energy scenarios for the oil and gas market, priority measures demanded by the Russian industry against the background of international sanctions introduced in August 2014.
Speaking about the situation with the international oil prices, the Deputy Prime Minister said that it was not a surprise for the Government of the Russian Federation.
Further presentations were made by the Energy Minister A. Novak and the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment S. Donskoy.
The discussing on the geo-economic situation was also attended by the General Director of JSC “Surgutnefgaz” V.Bogdanov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “Gazprom” V. Zubkov, the General Director of JSC “Zarubezhneft” S. Kudryashov, the Vice-President of JSC “LUKOIL” D. Fedun, the President of RSPP A. Shokhin.
Concluding the first session of the forum, Alexander Novak noted that the key issue is the increasing competition in the global oil and gas market. Among priority measures demanded by the Russian industry, he mentioned modernization and tax incentives, which imply significant changes in the tax legislation.
